Who We Are

We are environmental stewards who believe in the power of locally sourced and community-grown food.

Why local food?

  • It’s good for the environment. Local food doesn’t have to travel as far to arrive on your plate, so it helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to improving our carbon footprint.
  • It benefits the local economy, including supporting local farmers and other producers.
  • It encourages sustainable agriculture.

What We Do

We grow food in partnership with community gardeners, schools, and community groups.  We invite those we serve to participate in growing food and seed saving as way to increase food skills, activity levels, and build a sense of belonging.

  • We plant, water, weed, and harvest from community gardens
  • We glean fields and fruit trees from local farmers, gardeners, and homeowners
  • We save and distribute seeds to ensure long-term sustainability of our food system
